More life to love starts with knowing what to do next.

A heart-disease diagnosis can leave pet owners with more questions than answers. Vetmedin® needed to turn a difficult, emotional moment into one of clarity, confidence, and care.

A digital Pet Owner Support Program was created to help owners understand their dog’s condition, build an at-home care routine, and feel supported between veterinary visits.

(02) Meet

From overwhelmed to empowered.

For owners of dogs prescribed Vetmedin, caring for heart disease can feel intimidating. The condition is complex. The language is clinical. And the stakes feel deeply personal.

Veterinary teams also have limited time to answer every question after a diagnosis. The opportunity was to extend care beyond the clinic with a trusted, approachable resource centered on what pet owners need most: practical next steps.

A digital Caring Kit meets owners right after a vet visit, when they’re searching for reassurance and direction. The experience provides a simple path forward through three essential actions:

Meet. Monitor. Manage.

From regular veterinary check-ins to recognizing changes in their dog’s condition, the framework turns a complex care plan into a routine owners can understand.

(03) Monitor

Making monitoring feel manageable.

One of the most meaningful ways owners can participate in their dog’s care is by monitoring resting respiratory rate (RRR).

An easy-to-follow experience shows owners how to track this important sign at home, step by step. The program also connects them to the Heart2Heart app, making it easier to build a monitoring habit and share results with their veterinary team.

(04) Manage

Building treatment into everyday life.

Long-term treatment only works when it works in real life.

The treatment experience helps owners navigate twice-daily Vetmedin dosing with clarity and flexibility. It explains the two available formats—chewable tablets and oral solution—while offering practical guidance for common challenges, from a dog refusing a syringe to a missed dose.

The tone remains supportive, not scolding: clear enough to build confidence, empathetic enough to reduce guilt.
